Assistant locomotive driver (electric locomotive driver), confectioner, hairdresser, cook, auto crane operator, car repair fitter, car driver (international transport) - these professions are still in highest demand among applicants entering the vocational education level. Sergey Kasperovich, Head of the Main Department of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education, informed a BELTA correspondent about this.

This year, over 28 thousand applications have been submitted by applicants. Young people have the opportunity to undergo training in more than 250 professions with a guarantee of employment. The main admission of documents was completed on August 20, and enrollment is currently underway. "At the same time, if by the end of the document submission period the number of submitted applications for certain specialties is less than the planned number of places for admission, the educational institution, in agreement with the founder, may extend the deadlines until the groups are fully staffed, but no later than September 15. Document admission predominantly continues for construction professions, as well as light industry and agriculture," clarified the representative of the Ministry of Education. He added that more detailed information can be obtained on the websites of educational institutions.

This year, 134 vocational education institutions and 48 institutions implementing vocational education programs conducted document admission. The structure of admission has maintained the trends of previous years: specialties of the real sector of the economy account for about 80%.
