Speaking to journalists, the Deputy Chairperson of the Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina, emphasised that the exhibition showcases the best examples of modern domestic machinery that visitors can interact with. It is pleasing that there are many children and young people among the visitors. This is very important because it forms the foundation of our future. Young people see that domestic mechanical engineering is developing. Perhaps some of them, after visiting this wonderful celebration created by the friendly family of mechanical engineers, will want to tie their future to the industry.
Vitebsk region also has its own history of mechanical engineering. The first enterprise was established in 1900 in Orsha. Today, "Krasny Borets" operates quite successfully, producing various types of machine tools. In total, almost 50 mechanical engineering enterprises of various forms of ownership operate within the Vitebsk region. We are proud of our products: lifts, televisions, electrical measuring instruments, and water treatment plants.
According to Anzhelika Nikitina, such celebrations are necessary, regardless of the field of activity. They demonstrate that we are developing despite sanctions and challenging conditions.
It has become known that the Ministry of Industry has presented the host party with a gift certificate for a "Gomselmash" combine harvester. It will find its owner next Friday at the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2023".
