In 2023, it is planned to produce and deliver at least 100 combine harvesters to agricultural enterprises in each region of Belarus. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
"In 2022, OJSC Gomselmash produced a record number of grain harvesting units – 2,154. In 2023, it is planned to produce about 2.5 thousand units. At the same time, the task is to deliver at least 100 combine harvesters to agricultural enterprises in each region of Belarus," said Stanislav Karpovich, Head of the Main Department of Technical Progress and Energy, State Supervision of the Technical Condition of Machinery and Equipment of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
As noted by the press service, in 1990, there were 30.3 thousand grain harvesting combine harvesters in agriculture in Belarus, and now there are 7.6 thousand. It is planned to renew 6-8% of the combine harvester fleet annually. In 2022, this figure was 5.1%.
Currently, 62% of harvesting units in Belarus are older than 10 years. According to the strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, 80% of all combine harvesters should be of the most common model – GS12, and 20% – high-performance GS2124 and similar models.
