Nine parishioners of Lepel churches, together with the Chashniki deanery, visited Minsk shrines. The pilgrims attended a liturgy at the Holy Elisabeth Monastery, took a sightseeing tour of Minsk, and also had the opportunity to seek help from Saint Valentina of Minsk, whose grave is located in the small village cemetery of Krysovo village.

This Belarusian saint was canonized by the church as locally venerated on February 6, 2006 – exactly forty years after her death. Even during her lifetime, she told people who sought her help: "I will die, but come to me as if I were alive, and I will help you."

The St. George Church is being renovated. The Transfiguration of the Lord Church, located on Chuikov Street, has been entrusted with the St. George Church by order of His Eminence Metropolitan of Vitebsk and Orsha Dmitry. Recently, finishing works on restoration have begun here: the dome, windows, and doors have been painted. After the repairs, the conduct of divine services will also be organized.

A distinctive feature of the church is that there is no electric lighting – only candles and lamps are used instead. In addition, parishioners of the Transfiguration Church take care of the graves of clergy in the St. George cemetery. Not far from the St. George Church is buried Archpriest Ioann Dovgiallo, through whose efforts this church was consecrated in 1900.
