According to the Ministry of Health, no scientific research has been conducted in Belarus on the impact of electromagnetic radiation from 5G base stations on human health. However, the safety of electromagnetic radiation is regulated by specific epidemiological requirements. These are established by the Council of Ministers.
To prevent possible negative effects of radiation, when designing and reconstructing each base station, the possibility of its placement in a specific territory is necessarily assessed, taking into account the distribution of electromagnetic radiation.
"The technical characteristics of 5G equipment are similar to the technical characteristics of existing 3G and 4G communication systems. This allows us to conclude that the deployment of 5G base stations, while complying with established requirements, should not pose problems to public health," the Ministry of Communications noted.
