A rally at the "Breakthrough" memorial complex with the participation of the leadership of the Vitebsk region, delegations from all districts and cities of the region, and guests from the Smolensk and Pskov regions of Russia.

On May 2, many residents of Lepel gathered at this memorial site. Among those who joined the event were the Head of the District Mikhail Kiselevich, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Igor Urban, representatives of the District Prosecutor's Office, the Military Commissariat, the Lepel District DOSAAF organization, the Belarusian Union of Afghan War Veterans, BRSM activists, representatives of labor collectives, members of the "Kanonyr" military-patriotic club, and other fellow countrymen.

- The "Victory Breakthrough" event is a tribute to the feat of partisans and soldiers who fought for the freedom of Belarus. At this memorial site, a sense of pain never leaves you; we begin to perceive the present through the prism of time. We remember and thank those who paid with their lives for freedom. Simultaneously, we experience a sense of joy – we have won and live in a peaceful country, - commented Mikhail Kiselevich on the event.
