On June 6, Verkhnedvinsk, /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Verkhnedvinsk will start producing soft cheese of the mozzarella type, the director of the open joint-stock company "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory" Petr Lavrinov told a BELTA correspondent. The joint-stock company and one of the well-known Russian companies have become founders of the joint limited liability company "Verkhniy Lug", which will specialise in the production of soft cheeses. The new enterprise occupies old, unused premises of the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory. The Russian side intends to invest about 2 million euros in the enterprise. The funds will be directed towards construction and installation works and equipment procurement. The production capacity will be 20-40 tonnes of milk processing per day. The launch of production is scheduled for 2012. As Petr Lavrinov noted, soft cheese of the mozzarella type is produced in Belarus in small volumes, whereas in Europe its share in the consumption structure is quite high. -0-
