24 September, New York /BELTA correspondent/. Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich, on the sidelines of the UN summit, held bilateral meetings with heads of state and government of foreign countries, BELTA reports.
The progress of preparations for the visit of the Mongolian leader to Belarus was discussed with the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. "Certain successes have been noted in the implementation of our joint projects and agreements, primarily concerning the transport corridor. The agreements and arrangements that were at the stage of framework agreements will be elaborated and consolidated during the upcoming visit of the President of Mongolia to our country. The Ministries of Transport have worked out the relevant issues. These will be quite profitable projects for both sides," the Prime Minister of Belarus told reporters.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, in particular, proposed that the Mongolian side make wider use of the railway transit opportunities through Belarus. He also stated his readiness to provide Mongolia with an export loan for the purchase of Belarusian quarry equipment and suggested considering joint projects in the field of agriculture. "We have created a certain infrastructure for our BelAZ trucks to be sold and operate directly in quarries at deposits in Mongolia. We have quite ambitious plans in this regard. I think that sales in the next year and a half will be in the tens of units of our heavy quarry equipment," the Prime Minister noted.
The interlocutors agreed that with the opening of the Belarusian Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, economic cooperation between the two countries should be significantly intensified. The President of Mongolia also highly praised the initiatives of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
During negotiations with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzada, Mikhail Myasnikovich proposed organizing a visit of the Tajik counterpart to Belarus, which could take place in November-December of this year. Prospects for the purchase of Belarusian quarry equipment, tractor assembly in Tajikistan, and the supply of Belarusian agricultural products were discussed.
With the First Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, the head of the Belarusian government discussed in detail the preparations for the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Belarus, scheduled for October. The parties considered issues related to the construction of the Garlyk mining and processing plant.комбината.
