February 18, Minsk /Tatyana Grigorovich - BELTA/. The head of the Belarusian government, Mikhail Myasnikovich, outlined the systemic tasks for 2014 at an expanded meeting of the Council of Ministers, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"Following the consideration of strategic economic development issues by the Head of State, there is a need for resource mobilization and a sharp acceleration of work. The President has made very specific decisions, and we all need to ensure the unconditional implementation of these instructions," emphasized Mikhail Myasnikovich.

Great attention must be paid to Eurasian integration and, in particular, to the preparation of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The draft of this document will be considered by the presidents of the Customs Union troika countries in May. "The position of the Belarusian side has been defined by the Head of State – we must create a full-fledged common market without exceptions and restrictions," the Prime Minister recalled. Within the framework of this integration association, he noted, it is important to ensure the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor. For goods, work is still underway on numerous exceptions, and there are unresolved issues regarding services, as well as those related to capital.

"This task must be resolved without prejudice to national interests," stressed Mikhail Myasnikovich. This issue will be considered by the government within a month. In general, all interested parties should study it in relation to their sphere of activity. "There should be no intermediate, half-hearted solutions here. We must review everything meticulously," the Prime Minister set the task.

Among the systemic tasks for this year are also ensuring the highest level of the Ice Hockey World Championship, modernization based on modern technologies, and work with small and medium-sized businesses. "There is Directive No. 4, which is a fundamental document, and it must be fully implemented, as well as other regulatory legal acts governing this type of business," demanded Mikhail Myasnikovich. "A large number of people work in the sphere of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship today, and the government will create the necessary comfortable conditions for them, as well as for other economic entities." -0-
