July 7 will be a festive occasion for many residents of Shumilino District, as new socially significant facilities will be solemnly opened here.

A true family celebration will unfold in Shumilino at 8 Kosoperativnaya Street, where, with the participation of representatives of regional and district authorities, a ceremony will be held to hand over the symbolic key to the future residents of a 32-apartment residential building. Very soon, 29 families will move in, 28 of which are large families. Another three apartments have been reserved by the District Executive Committee for young specialists.

One of the most important projects of the current year for the district has been the construction of an automatic water de-ironing station in the urban settlement of Obol, implemented under the program for the development of water supply and sewerage systems.

Irina Shalakova also spoke about other significant facilities that have been improved since the beginning of the year. In the sports and recreation complex, opened several years ago, available space has allowed for the installation of a sauna, which will complement the range of sports and health services offered. The first phase of capital repairs at Obol Secondary School has been fully completed. Windows, the entrance area, and the hall have been renovated, along with other planned work. At the end of May, a neurological post was opened at the therapeutic department of the district hospital.
