On June 30, creative youth of the region will take part in the qualifying rounds of the republican competitions "Fire of Dance - 2017" and "DJ Battle 'Belarus and I'" - key events of Youth Day at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", and the best vocalists will try to qualify for the youth song contest of the XII festival "Youth for the Union State".
All festive events will open at 15:00 with the youth art parade "Belarus - a Source of Inspiration" on the square near the Jesuit Collegium. Dance groups, authors and performers of vocal compositions, DJs, winners of regional and republican competitions from all corners of the region will march in a colorful procession. And after laying a wreath at the memorial to those who fell in the battles for the liberation of Orsha, the performances of the contestant dancers will begin. They will compete in the following nominations: "Show Program", "Break Dance", "Street Dance", "Sports Latin", "Oriental Dance" and "Belarusian Folk Dance".
During the events on the square, interactive platforms themed around military-patriotic, sports, and national-cultural topics will be set up. Spectators will be delighted by performances of BMX cyclists (extreme sport), giant bowling, exhibition areas of the children's center "Razvivayka" and the art shop "kvARTira". All participants will also be able to visit the "Skarbonka belaruskai movy" (Treasury of the Belarusian Language) site, familiarize themselves with the exhibition of rescue equipment of the Orsha city and district department for emergency situations, and learn the basics of life safety in a playful way.
The selection of youth song performers from the Vitebsk region for the XII festival "Youth for the Union State" will take place on a separate site - in the city children's park "Skazochnaya strana" (Fairytale Land). More than 30 young participants will take part - soloists, singer-songwriters, duets, and ensembles. One of the songs must be patriotic, and the second should reflect modern youth themes. The festival itself will be held in Rostov-on-Don from September 13 to 18.
The festive programme will conclude with the regional stage of the DJ battle, which will commence at 8:00 PM in the square near the Jesuit Collegium. Both individual performers and teams playing musical sets will compete in the musical battle.
The event is organised by the Vitebsk Regional and Orsha District Committees of the BRSM, and the Orsha District Executive Committee.
