The regional tourist rally dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus will be held on July 5-7 at the Kurgan Druzhby (Friendship Mound) in Verkhnedvinsk district, BELTA was informed by the regional committee of the BRSM.
National teams from the cities of Vitebsk and Pskov regions, representatives of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the Russian Union of Youth will take part in the rally. The programme includes an intellectual tournament, an open dialogue, sports competitions in football and volleyball, as well as competitions for readers, bivouacs and amateur arts. In addition, the rally participants will create a "Chronicle of Victory," in which each team will be able to leave information about veterans or heroic battles of the regions they represent.
"The rally at the Kurgan Druzhby will bring together over 300 young people. It is gratifying that representatives of the Russian Union of Youth will also take part. We want the rally to become a powerful educational, sports and creative platform for youth, and most importantly, a platform for constructive dialogue," noted Vyacheslav Khrol, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM.
The event is organised by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the regional committee of the BRSM, and the Pskov and Smolensk regional organisations of the Russian Union of Youth.
