As part of the republican campaign "Youth for Safety", Lepel rescuers, together with activists of the district branch of the BYPAO, visited residential buildings inhabited by lonely and single elderly citizens. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with young rescuers, provided feasible assistance to the categorised citizens in cleaning the adjacent territory, preparing firewood, and also held preventive conversations with homeowners on observing fire safety rules, paid attention to the fire safety condition of the households, and explained the operating principle of autonomous fire detectors. Examples of positive activations of autonomous fire detectors were provided. As a keepsake, rescuers and the young people presented the residents with visual informational materials, as well as recommendations for reducing the risk of fire.
