From October 2 to 14, the Lepel district is hosting the "Youth for Safety" campaign. As part of this initiative, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, together with activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, provided patronage assistance to lonely and single elderly residents for a week.

For instance, a work brigade comprising students from the Lepel Agrarian-Technical College offered patronage assistance with yard cleaning and other household needs, and also helped install autonomous fire detectors.

Naturally, fire prevention was a key focus! To prevent fire-related tragedies, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded citizens of fire safety rules in their homes, the emergency service numbers 101 and 112, and safety regulations for operating stoves and electrical equipment. Useful thematic visual materials were also distributed.
