The "75" Youth Marathon, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, will start at the "Minsk - Hero City" stele on June 11, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) informed BELTA.

The marathon will run until July 3. Its route will pass through places of military glory. Participants will visit large and small cities of Belarus, where open dialogues "Belarus Remembers!", and Open Air events "Flowers of the Great Victory" with thematic and interactive platforms, photo zones, and creative programs will be held. At the marathon stops, visitors will be able to view the mobile exhibition "Liberation of Belarus," prepared by the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. It reflects the long and arduous journey of the Red Army soldiers and Belarusian partisans to the liberation of Belarus.

The BRSM named the creation of the "Belarus Remembers!" banner and the album "Belarus Remembers. The Faces of Victory" as symbolic highlights of the project. Information about the natives of their regions – who they were, which fronts they fought on, and their heroic deeds – is being collected at the local level to create regional "liberation banners." All this information will then be consolidated to create a national banner. It is planned that it will be 6x12 meters in size, in the form of the flag of Belarus, with embroidered names of Heroes of the Soviet Union and full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory, participants of the Great Patriotic War – Belarusians and natives of Belarus. The banner will be presented on July 3 during a ceremonial procession.

During the marathon, materials for the album "Belarus Remembers. The Faces of Victory" will be handed over to its participants. The pages of the album will feature the youth of the republic, their grandfathers and great-grandfathers from the generation of victors. Any resident of Belarus can contribute to the creation of the album. The 75 pages will feature photographs of the most unique heroes. Both the banner and the album will be handed over to the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War on July 3.

The marathon will be organized by the BRSM together with the Federation of Trade Unions and the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. It is part of the republican patriotic project "Flowers of the Great Victory."
