9 November, Minsk / Karina Popkova - BELTA/. A youth parliament will be established in Belarus. This was announced at a press conference by Vladimir Kazbanov, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, following the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Aspirations-2012", the IV International Youth Conference "Morality. Reproductive Health. Demography" and the II Youth Innovation Forum "Science and Business-2012", a BELTA correspondent reports.
Vladimir Kazbanov said that at a meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the position of Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, on the need to establish a CIS Interparliamentary Youth Assembly was voiced. It envisages the creation of youth parliaments in each state.
"Belarus does not yet have such a youth parliament. This idea is a priority in youth policy. Belarus has always come forward with initiatives in the field of youth policy within the CIS space. I am confident that in the near future a youth parliament will be established in Belarus, and it will harmoniously integrate into the structure of the CIS Interparliamentary Youth Assembly," noted Vladimir Kazbanov.
In its structure, this parliament will have representatives from all areas of youth activities. Vladimir Kazbanov is confident that young scientists from the Academy of Sciences and other organizations will be widely represented in the youth parliament.
He also touched upon the topic of implementing innovative projects presented at the scientific conferences. "This is a very rare case when the outcome of such events is the conclusion of an agreement as an investment project. The main goal set was to give participants the opportunity to 'rehearse' the format of presenting their project in a concise, understandable, and attractive way, so that when participating in international platforms, where the chances of receiving financial support are higher, they can count on the implementation of their ideas," said Vladimir Kazbanov.
According to him, the "packaging" of Belarusian scientists' projects is seriously lacking. Today, at the international level, projects that have the clearest, most well-thought-out concept, as well as evidence of the effectiveness of their idea, win.
The scientist added that the Minsk City Technopark is one of those organisations that can truly help young scientists. It is in the development stage. The leadership of the Belarusian capital takes the development of this organisation seriously. In particular, high-tech equipment is currently being purchased, which can be rented.
From November 5 to 9, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus held the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Aspirations-2012", the IV International Youth Conference "Morality. Reproductive Health. Demography" and the II Youth Innovation Forum "Science and Business-2012".
At the event, in addition to presenting their scientific projects, participants discussed pressing issues of scientific youth and questions related to the succession of generations in the scientific community. During the "Scientific Aspirations" conference, a diplomatic school was held for the first time in Belarus. This is a new area of work for the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, which will contribute to the creation of a youth parliament in Belarus and the formation of state youth policy.-0-
