The Youth Parliament, established under the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, is intended to promote the development of youth parliamentarism and the formation of a future personnel reserve.

As noted by the Chairman of the Regional Council Dmitry Demidov, each city and rural district of the region delegated one representative from the most active and initiative-taking young people to the parliament – a total of 23 people. These young people will represent the Vitebsk region in the youth council under the National Assembly of Belarus.

  Olga Mlyavaya, an inspector of the culture sector of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, was elected Chairperson of the Regional Youth Parliament. Anastasia Lyakhovich from the Tolochin District and Gennady Drozdov from Orsha became Deputy Chairpersons. Four standing commissions have been formed for the main areas of activity that will be under the focus of the youth parliamentarians.

  Kristina Dorokhova, the representative of Lepel District, took part in the meeting.
