Monitoring of the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel" and the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel"

The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that department employees conducted a monitoring of the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel" and the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel". During the aforementioned work, it was established that the following violations were identified during the visit to the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel":

The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that department employees conducted a monitoring of the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel" and the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel". During the aforementioned work, it was established that the following violations were identified during the visit to the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 1 of Lepel":

- in the senior academic building (in the corridor near the teachers' room), primary fire extinguishing means (OP-4 fire extinguisher) are out of order (the nozzle is damaged)

- the lock on the doors of the central entrance does not ensure that it can be freely opened from the inside without a key (in the senior and junior buildings)

- training on fire-technical minimum programs for employees responsible for fire safety of the business entity, who are entrusted with the duties of conducting fire safety briefings, has not been organized

During the aforementioned work, it was established that the following violations were identified during the visit to the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel":

- the direction of door opening on the stairwell located next to the assembly hall has been changed (the door does not open in the direction of exit from the building)

- in the doors of the evacuation exits in the library building, the height of the thresholds exceeds 0.06 m

- 10% of the installed spare fire detectors are missing at the facility.

During the monitoring, performances were held in the work collectives.

During the monitoring of buildings equipped with a fire alarm system, in conjunction with representatives of UP "Polotsk Fire Fighting Works Enterprise" RGOO "BDPO", a check was carried out for the serviceability and operability of the system. No violations were detected during the work performed.

Drills for evacuation plans in case of fire or other emergency situations, as well as briefings on compliance with fire safety rules, were conducted with the staff of the institutions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention regulations within their respective organizations.
