In accordance with clause 1.2 of the minutes of instructions given at the meeting chaired by the Deputy Minister of Health – Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Belarus on 01.10.2018, No. 23, specialists of the State Institution "Lepel District Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology" are conducting monitoring of the retail trade network on compliance with the shelf life of food products sold, including on the sanitary condition of trade facilities.
Thus, during October-November 2018, 22 monitoring inspections of trade facilities were carried out regarding compliance with sanitary norms and rules. Violations of sanitary legislation were identified in 95.5 percent of cases. 13 instances of goods with expired shelf life were detected, with a total weight of 36.094 kilograms, and three instances of goods without manufacturer marking (7.92 kg).
