The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that in September, department employees conducted a monitoring of the educational institutions: "Domzheritskaya Basic School of Lepel District", "Polsvizhskaya Basic School named after N.N. Tomashevich of Lepel District", "Zaslonovskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District".

During the aforementioned work, the following violations were identified upon inspection of the buildings and structures of the above-mentioned institutions:

"Domzheritskaya Basic School of Lepel District":

- Doors separating the stairwell and corridors are missing (Clause 9 of the Rules of Fire Safety; Clause 7.2.9 of SN 2.02.03-2019);

- A 10% reserve of fire detectors is missing at the facility (Clause 3.9 of the Rules of Fire Safety; Clause 8.3.11 of TKP 316-2011).

 

"Polsvizhskaya Basic School named after N.N. Tomashevich of Lepel District" 

- The door of the evacuation exit from the canteen is not equipped with a lock that allows it to be opened freely from the inside without a key (Clause 48 of the Rules of Fire Safety);

- A 10% reserve of fire detectors is missing at the facility (Clause 3.9 of the Rules of Fire Safety; Clause 8.3.11 of TKP 316-2011).

 

                       Based on the results of the monitoring conducted at "Zaslonovskaya Secondary School of Lepel District" and "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", no violations of fire safety requirements were identified.

 

In buildings equipped with a fire alarm system, checks for the serviceability and operability of the systems were carried out together with representatives of the servicing organisations. No violations were identified during the work performed.

Evacuation plans for fire or other emergency situations, as well as instructions on fire safety rules, were conducted with the staff of the institutions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organisations are obliged to ensure fire safety and fire prevention regulations within their respective organisations.
