Monitoring of buildings and structures in February

The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that in February, department employees conducted monitoring visits to: the Educational Institution "Bobrovskaya Primary School of Lepel District", the Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 1 of Lepel", the Educational Institution "Kamenskaya Primary School of Lepel District", the Educational Institution "Slobodskaya Secondary School named after N.M. Pshenko of Lepel District", the Educational Institution "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", the Educational Institution "Starolepelskaya Basic School named after A.A. Marunko of Lepel District".

During the aforementioned work, the following violations were identified upon inspection of the buildings and structures:

Educational Institution "Bobrovskaya Primary School of Lepel District":

- Locks on doors located on evacuation routes do not allow for free opening from the inside without a key;

- The operability and serviceability of fire extinguishing equipment (powder extinguisher) in the corridor are not ensured.

Educational Institution "Kamenskaya Primary School of Lepel District"

- The educational building is not equipped with a fire alarm system with an object terminal device for transmitting fire alarms.

Educational Institution "Slobodskaya Secondary School named after N.M. Pshenko of Lepel District"

- The opening direction of doors on the first and second-floor stairwells of the school has been changed (the door does not open in the direction of exit from the building).

In the branch of the Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 1 of Lepel", the Educational Institution "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", and the Educational Institution "Starolepelskaya Basic School named after A.A. Marunko of Lepel District", no violations of fire safety requirements were identified.

In buildings equipped with a fire alarm system, checks for the serviceability and operability of the systems were carried out jointly with representatives of the servicing organisations. No violations were identified during this work.

Evacuation plans for fire or other emergency situations were practiced with the staff of the institutions, along with briefings on compliance with fire safety rules.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Art. 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention regulations in their respective organizations.
