Monitoring of kindergartens No. 4, No. 5, No. 8, No. 9 in Lepel

The Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations reports that in August, department employees conducted monitoring at: Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 4 of Lepel", Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 5 of Lepel", Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 8 of Lepel", Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 9 of Lepel"

During the aforementioned work, the following violations were identified upon inspection of the buildings and structures:

Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 5 of Lepel":

- The locations of fire extinguishers in the kitchen, eco-room, and medical office are not marked with signs in accordance with the requirements of GOST 12.4.026-2015;

- The operability and serviceability of fire protection means are not ensured (stairwell doors are not equipped with self-closing devices);

- The fire evacuation plan does not meet the requirements;

- The floor covering (carpet) on the evacuation route (first-floor corridor) is made of materials with unknown fire hazard characteristics.

Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 9 of Lepel":

- The operability and serviceability of fire protection means are not ensured (the door leading from the 2nd middle group to the stairwell is not equipped with a self-closing device);

- The lock on the door located on the evacuation route (external central evacuation door) does not allow for free opening from the inside without a key.

No violations of fire safety requirements were identified at Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 4 of Lepel" and Educational Institution "Kindergarten No. 8 of Lepel".

In buildings equipped with a fire alarm system, a check was carried out together with representatives of the servicing organizations.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Art. 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention regulations in their respective organizations.
