On the instructions of the Head of State, with the aim of ensuring fire safety and preventing emergencies in places of mass gathering of people on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, in April-May of the current year, employees of the inspection of supervision and prevention of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted monitoring of healthcare, education, culture, and trade institutions.

On the instructions of the Head of State, with the aim of ensuring fire safety and preventing emergencies in places of mass gathering of people on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, in April-May of the current year, employees of the inspection of supervision and prevention of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted monitoring of healthcare, education, culture, and trade institutions. During the monitoring, 67 enterprises, organisations, and institutions were visited. A number of violations of fire safety rules, both procedural and capital, were identified in all inspected buildings. The most common violations include: obstruction of evacuation routes, emergency exits, and stairwells; emergency exit doors being locked; lack of access to primary fire extinguishing equipment and fire hydrants. Based on the results of the monitoring, recommendations with set deadlines for eliminating the identified violations were issued to the managers. Upon expiry of these deadlines, the inspection of supervision and prevention of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations will conduct repeat monitoring. In case of identification of unrectified violations, administrative measures provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus will be applied to managers and responsible officials.
