In October, the Supervision and Prevention Sector of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted monitoring visits to the educational institutions: "Zaslonovskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", "Polsvizhskaya Basic School of Lepel District", "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", and "Starolepel Basic School of Lepel District".
During the monitoring, it was established that the educational institutions are not fully complying with the requirements for ensuring safe evacuation in case of fire, and the general requirements for ensuring fire safety at the facility.
At "Starolepel Basic School of Lepel District", the following violations were identified: repeat fire safety briefings are not conducted with the employees of the economic entity; evacuation exits from the junior academic building are not fully marked with fire safety signs as required by technical normative legal acts; a fire evacuation plan has not been developed; the facility-wide fire safety instructions do not comply with the requirements.
At "Stayskaya Secondary School of Lepel District", the following violations were identified: the facility-wide fire safety instructions do not comply with the requirements; a fire evacuation plan has not been developed in accordance with the requirements; the door of the evacuation exit from the academic building is not equipped with a lock that allows it to be opened freely from the inside without a key.
At "Polsvizhskaya Basic School of Lepel District", the following violations were identified: introductory and primary fire safety briefings are not conducted with all employees of the economic entity; fire evacuation drills are not carried out from the school building in accordance with the facility-wide fire safety instructions. Following the fire evacuation drills, an ad hoc report is not compiled, indicating the date of the drills, the measures implemented in accordance with the facility-wide fire safety instructions, the officials who conducted the drills, and the number of participants; the doors of the evacuation exits from the canteen area (external evacuation

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety", the heads of organizations must ensure fire safety and fire prevention measures in their respective organizations.
