On August 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Equipment installation at the Braslav branch of OJSC "Glubokoe Dairy and Canning Plant" will begin in September, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The implementation of a large-scale project to create a new cheese production facility has been underway at the Braslav branch of the plant since 2011. The project envisages the construction of a new production building, an administrative building, a boiler house, a compressor shop, and wastewater treatment facilities. The overall readiness of all facilities currently stands at 40%. The technological "heart" for ensuring the production process – a Spanish line with a capacity of 10 tons of hard cheese per day and a Polish line with a capacity of up to 2 tons of soft cheese per day – has actually been received in full. 90% of the equipment has been delivered. The remaining equipment will arrive shortly. Installation is planned to commence in September. In general, in accordance with the signed schedules, the commissioning of the new production facility is planned for December of this year. The volume of mastered investments for this project in January-July amounted to over Br40 billion. Over seven months, the enterprise produced products worth Br452.9 billion. Exports during this period reached $20.1 million. Its share in the total sales volume was about 40%. Supplies were made to Russia (71% of the total export volume), Kazakhstan (23%), as well as Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia. The raw material processing growth rate for January-July increased to 110.2%, and the energy saving indicator was minus 8%. Based on the results of the first half of the year, the profitability of sales was 9.8%, and of operations – 8.4%. In 2012, Glubokoe Dairy and Canning Plant intends to invest over Br100 billion in production development. The enterprise was founded in 1966. It includes the Braslav Production Branch and the "Mnyuto" agricultural enterprise. The plant produces canned milk products, butter, milk powder, whole milk products, casein, and hard rennet cheeses.
