Lake Plavno in the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve has once again become a focal point for ice fishing enthusiasts. Here, at its traditional location, participants gathered for the annual winter fishing competition, which has become a cherished tradition for local residents.

“Such events are very important for us,” noted Anatoly Yankovsky, Chairman of the Domzheritsy Village Executive Committee, as he welcomed the participants. “The reserve, as a reliable partner, creates unique opportunities for our people to relax and socialize. It’s a wonderful way to spend time in nature.”

Despite the frosty weather, which only added to the thrill and festive excitement, a truly warm and friendly atmosphere prevailed on the ice. Experienced anglers and newcomers, families and groups of friends – everyone found their place and their enjoyment here.

Winter fishing is part of our living cultural tradition.
