Based on subparagraph 109.17 of clause 109 of the Rules for Fishing and Fishery Management, entry and movement in fishing grounds (water bodies and watercourses), including those covered by ice (except for organised crossings), are prohibited.
Based on subparagraph 109.17 of clause 109 of the Rules for Fishing and Fishery Management, entry and movement in fishing grounds (water bodies and watercourses), including those covered by ice (except for organised crossings), by mechanical vehicles are prohibited, with the exception of mechanical vehicles of fishing control bodies, the security system of the Republic of Belarus, navigation safety, republican unitary enterprises of inland waterways, lessees (users) of fishing grounds, provided they have documents confirming the legality of their presence in fishing grounds, for the performance of their assigned tasks and functions.
According to subparagraph 2.26 of clause 2 of the Traffic Rules, a mechanical vehicle is a vehicle driven by an engine. Furthermore, in accordance with GOST 31286-2005 ROAD TRANSPORT, a mechanical vehicle is a vehicle equipped with an engine, which is the sole means of propulsion, used for the transportation of people, goods, as well as for performing special work in agriculture or forestry, and intended for movement on public roads or off-road.
Consequently, entry and movement in fishing grounds covered by ice on a snowmobile are prohibited.
