The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora urges fishermen to behave responsibly on the ice. It is necessary to remember not only about your own safety but also about the cleanliness of the environment.
There are many fans of ice fishing in our country. At the end of the winter fishing season, reservoirs often turn into dumps for all kinds of waste: from sunflower seed husks and cigarette butts to all sorts of containers. All this rubbish sinks to the bottom every spring.
Fishermen must understand the consequences of their actions. And, in accordance with the Rules for conducting fishing and fisheries, they are obliged to maintain the proper sanitary condition of fishing grounds, and prevent their littering and pollution. Otherwise, they may be fined.
