The Ministry of Internal Affairs invites discussion on draft amendments to the Traffic Rules for electric scooter users and cyclists.

For reminder: people on electric scooters and other users of personal mobility devices are to be considered drivers, and the mobility devices themselves – as full-fledged vehicles.

  This is stipulated by the draft decree on amendments to the Traffic Regulations, which will be posted on the Legal Forum of Belarus for discussion until September 27. Anyone can participate in the discussion of amendments to the Traffic Regulations and propose ideas for changing certain provisions. This can be done via the link.

  It is also worth reminding that traffic police officers constantly carry out preventive work with the public to prevent road traffic accidents. In the near future, raids are planned to work on the most accident-prone sections of roads and pedestrian crossings, involving cyclists and pedestrians violating traffic regulations, as well as drivers ignoring speed limits and crossing rules.
