On August 14, a set of preventive measures "Child Seat!" will be held on the territory of the Vitebsk region.

  The event is aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving child passengers, as well as promoting passive safety devices.

  A child restraint system is a set of devices designed for the safe transportation of a child in a car.

  Children in a passenger car equipped with seat belts are to be transported until the age of 12:

  in child restraint systems that match the child's weight and height, aged up to 5 years;

  in child restraint systems that match the child's weight and height, or other devices (boosters, etc.) that allow the child to be safely fastened using the seat belts provided for by the vehicle's design, _– __aged from five to twelve years._

  It is permitted to transport children under twelve years of age without using the specified devices if the child's height exceeds 150 centimeters, as well as in a taxi.
