On November 15, officers of the traffic police department of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs will hold a preventive event called "Flicker Control!"

The event aims to promote the wearing of retroreflective elements.

  For a pedestrian to be as visible as possible, flickers should be used so that they are visible from all sides: left, right, front, and back.

  If there is only one flicker or reflective tape, it should be tied to a sleeve or trouser leg, and the pendant should be pinned to clothing. It should be no lower than knee height on the side facing the roadway.

  The most convenient and effective option is to use a flicker bracelet.

  Retroreflective elements of only two colours – white and lemon – undergo certification and meet all requirements. Red, blue, and green flickers are of low effectiveness.
