A dish originating from Belarus, round in shape, made from potatoes, but not draniki. Cepelinai are from Lithuania, khinkali from Georgia, and only in one region of Belarus are there klyotski with "souls". This is a national dish with the status of "historical and cultural value". The homeland of this unique dish is the Lepel region.
It is said about the local residents: when the first person from Lepel was born, that's when the klyotski appeared. All housewives in the north of Belarus, without exception, know how to cook them.
The participants of the folk club of national cuisine "Stayskiye Prysmaki" are the pride of the region. They are rightly called the keepers of traditions and successors of local veteran chefs. Thanks to them, Lepel klyotski with "souls" received the status of "historical and cultural value" of the country.
Each housewife has her own approach, but there is a recipe that has stood the test of centuries. It is this recipe that is considered the benchmark, and it is this taste that one must try.
