LEPEL CHOPS WOOD! Today our district took over the baton from Orsha region in wood chopping.

Wood chopping competitions are being held in Lepel for the first time.

  Today, 12 teams competed in wood chopping: Lepel District Executive Committee, Lepel Council of Deputies, Lepel Forestry, the Department of Emergency Rescues (ROChS), the Editorial Office of the newspaper "Lepelski Krai", the Branch "Lepel MCC", CUPP "Borovka", the Branch "Lepelvodokanal", RMZ, the Department of Education of the District Executive Committee, the Military Sanatorium, and Lepel District Gas Supply. Each team consisted of three people (two men and 1 woman).

  The competition was organised by the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, Lepel Forestry, and the Sector of Sports and Tourism of the District Executive Committee.

  Despite the chilly weather, the atmosphere was very warm and cheerful. The wood was chopped with such vigour that splinters flew! Hot tea was available to warm everyone up.

  And here are the results: 1st place - Lepel District Gas Supply team. 2nd place - the team from the editorial office of the district newspaper "Lepelski Krai". 3rd place - the team from Lepel ROChS.

  Congratulations to the winners! Meanwhile, the chopped wood is being loaded for delivery to families.

  The Head of the District, Mikhail Kiselevich, passed the baton to Ushachy and Verkhnedvinsk districts.
