From 26 November to 6 December, the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting a preventive event concerning passenger transportation in irregular services by passenger cars (taxis).

 The main violations by taxi drivers continue to be: transporting passengers not wearing seat belts, running red lights, failure to maintain a safe distance, incorrect speed selection, violation of traffic signs, manoeuvring rules, and road positioning, which leads to road traffic accidents.

  During raids, inspectors, together with the Transport Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport, will check drivers of passenger cars engaged in commercial passenger transportation.

  The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds that in case of violations of the law, administrative measures will be applied to both passenger transport drivers and officials responsible for the technical condition and operation of the transport.
