Today, an important event for the Lepel region took place at the Lepel District Museum of Local Lore.

Valery Tukhto, a history teacher at the Educational Institution "Slobodskaya Secondary School named after N. M. Pshyonok of Lepel District", has been awarded the badge of distinction "For Merit in Military Memorial Work".

The award was presented by Colonel Sergey Kornev, Head of the Department for Perpetuating the Memory of Defenders of the Fatherland and Victims of Wars of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

It should be noted that our fellow countryman has been engaged in search work in the Lepel District for over 20 years, and also involves the younger generation in this activity.
