The attention of rescuers was focused on those categories of the population who, for various reasons, require special care: single and elderly people living alone, as well as citizens leading an anti-social lifestyle, including those prone to alcohol abuse.
During a comprehensive inspection of households, particular attention was paid to the condition of stove heating, gas and electrical equipment, and the presence and proper functioning of autonomous fire detectors in living rooms.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminded the residents of Lepel District about the potential consequences of combining "cigarettes and alcohol," explained how to prevent fire hazardous situations while smoking, emphasizing that two people have already died in the district due to neglecting basic safety rules while smoking.
