Senior researchers of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, Alexander Lukashuk and Alexander Rak, took part in the conference.

Alexander Lukashuk, one of Belarus's leading specialists in true bugs, together with co-rapporteurs from the Scientific and Practical Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources, spoke about the true bugs of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and the Polessie State Radiation-Ecological Reserve.

The reserve's young scientist, Alexander Rak, along with his colleague from Belarusian State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Vasily Hrichik, identified possible reasons for the increase in the brown bear population in the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, and also presented an analysis of literary sources on its distribution in Belarus during the 18th-19th centuries.
