Thus, from January 1, among the innovations:

where horizontal markings are impossible, a vertical "Stop Line" sign will be installed;

a "Recommended Speed for Passing Artificial Unevenness" sign to improve comfort and reduce vehicle wear;

a "Deaf Pedestrians" sign – in areas where hearing-impaired or deaf pedestrians move;

the "Parking" sign may now include "Vehicle Parking Method".

The width of one roadside parking space has been reduced: 2.5 m → 2.25 m (for efficient space utilization).

The changes are aimed at reducing accidents, minimizing visual clutter on roads, and enhancing safety.

- "An excessive" number of signs on city streets distracts drivers, and the updated standard will allow for the gradual dismantling of over 55,000 signs out of 900,000 from Moscow streets, — stated the Moscow Center for Traffic Organization.
