The winter holiday season is marked by an increase in fires and injuries due to violations of fire safety regulations and careless handling of pyrotechnic devices. To prevent such emergencies, an annual information and awareness campaign (event) "Safe New Year!" will be held in the Lepel district from December 11 to 29.
The winter holiday season is marked by an increase in fires and injuries due to violations of fire safety regulations and careless handling of pyrotechnic devices. To prevent such emergencies, an annual information and awareness campaign (event) "Safe New Year!" will be held in the Lepel district from December 11 to 29.
As part of the 1st stage, which will take place from December 11 to December 15, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will visit educational institutions, where they will conduct interactive discussions on the fundamentals of life safety. All participants will receive visual aids and memorable gifts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
During the 2nd stage, from December 18 to December 22, the target audience for the events will be children from healthcare institutions, large families, as well as pupils of orphanages (boarding schools) and family-type homes. Rescuers, along with Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden), will explain safety rules during the winter holidays, remind attendees how to behave on the ice, and how to use pyrotechnics, party poppers, and sparklers. In addition, children can expect quizzes, themed contests, visual aids, and, of course, sweet gifts.
The 3rd stage, from December 26 to December 29, will take place in public places. In shopping centers, markets, Christmas tree markets, ice rinks, and places where pyrotechnic products are sold, rescuers will organize interactive platforms where they will remind attendees of safety rules and congratulate everyone on the upcoming holidays. Participants of the events can expect
themed quizzes, contests, and lotteries.
