The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Committee for State Property has sold an unfinished construction object of a women's polyclinic located at 28 Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street in the city of Vitebsk at auction.
The new owner is a private construction company from the city of Minsk, which already has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate, having been in the construction business for over 30 years. Among its implemented projects is the Vitebsk residential complex "Novaya Chernyakhovka".
In the future, the construction of a multi-apartment residential building up to seven storeys high is being considered on the site of the polyclinic.
The sale price was three basic units. However, the buyer is also required to reimburse reconstruction costs amounting to 1.315 million rubles.
Reconstruction work on the polyclinic began in February 2012, but construction was frozen due to financial difficulties.
Initially, the building was constructed as Vitebsk City Maternity Hospital No. 2. During the Great Patriotic War, it housed a German infirmary. Later, it was used as the gynaecology department of Vitebsk City Maternity Hospital No. 1.
In recent years, the committee has unsuccessfully put the polyclinic building up for auction 17 times, including 13 auctions where the object was offered at the basic unit price.
According to the sale conditions, the new owner must complete the construction of residential premises within the timeframe specified in the design and estimate documentation, but no later than five years from the date of acquisition of the object.
In total, the committee has scheduled 103 auctions for the sale of unused state property objects for April, most of which can be acquired at the basic unit price.
Since the beginning of the year, the committee has conducted 32 successful auctions, adding 1.7 million rubles to the state budget.
