20 October, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. A special commission is working at the site of the helicopter crash in Postavy district. This was announced on STV by the press secretary of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Alexander Tishchenko, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "All necessary measures, as provided for in such cases, are being carried out. The Chairman of the State Border Committee, Igor Rachkovsky, has departed for the scene of the incident," said Alexander Tishchenko. Information about the crash was received through the duty officer; another helicopter was flying in the area of the emergency. According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke was visible from a distance. Four EMERCOM vehicles immediately proceeded to the crash site; the bodies of three deceased have already been recovered. A helicopter of the French company Ecureuil AS 355 NP of the State Border Committee crashed near the village of Vileyty, one kilometer from the border, at approximately 15:45. The helicopter was performing a border protection mission. On board were two crew members and a film crew from TRO "Soyuz," which was preparing a special report. The helicopter fell and caught fire. All persons on board perished. The film crew of TRO "Soyuz" included Yulia Nikolaevna Shaternik, Vitaly Ruslanovich Prachkovsky, and Sergey Mikhailovich Shamalov.-0-
