On some polling stations in Gomel and Mogilev regions, voter turnout, as of 12:00, exceeded 50%. This was announced at a press conference by the Secretary of the Central Commission of Belarus for Elections and National Referendums, Nikolai Lozovik, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Nikolai Lozovik named these polling stations in two regions of the country and added that in some constituencies, voter turnout has closely approached the 50% threshold (for example, in Shklov and Sharkovshchyna districts).
As BELTA reported, as of 12:00, about 40% of voters had voted on average across Belarus. In Gomel, Vitebsk, and Mogilev regions, the voter turnout indicator approached 50%, while in other regions it was around 40%. -0-
