The Committee for State Property of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has scheduled 115 auctions for November for the sale of unused state property. The majority of these unused properties are social facilities – former kindergartens and schools.
Investors may be interested in the building of the former school No. 5 in Polotsk, which is advantageously located. This is the largest property being put up for sale for the first time.
The school building has not been used since last year, when as part of the optimization program for educational institutions, school No. 5 was merged with school No. 14. The latter, after major repairs supported by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the administrations of the region and the city of Polotsk, was transformed into a socio-cultural center with sports grounds for all residents of the region.
Offered for auction sale in November is the school building itself, with an area of 4500 sq.m., as well as a training workshop. The school has centralized electricity supply, heating, and water supply. The building is currently maintained in good technical condition, is heated by its own boiler room, and has a video surveillance system installed.
A land plot of over 1 hectare will be allocated to the new owner.
Following reconstruction, a social facility or retail and service facilities could be located here – such as a shop, shopping center, market, restaurant, cafe, postal services, savings banks, pharmacies, integrated reception points, self-service mini-laundries, mini dry cleaners, tailoring workshops, hairdressers, and photo studios.
In total, over the past 10 months of this year, the committee has announced 865 auctions, of which 99 were successful. This has not only enabled the utilization of unused state property for regional development but also replenished the budget by 5.8 million rubles.
