Crews from the special traffic police unit "Strela" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved in operations in the most accident-prone sections of roads in the Brest, Mogilev, and Minsk regions. During their duty, inspectors actively used quadcopters.
Overtaking violations and entering the oncoming traffic lane are under special control. On Friday and over the weekend, 109 such violations were identified and stopped across the republic.
Overtaking is the most dangerous maneuver! It requires maximum concentration and the most accurate assessment of the traffic situation. The slightest mistake by a driver can lead to severe consequences.
Over the past nine months of the current year, 166 head-on collisions have been registered on the republic's roads, resulting in 55 fatalities and 230 injuries.
