Traffic police officers are conducting preventive raids aimed at preventing and suppressing instances of driving by intoxicated drivers and those without a valid driving license.
Inspectors remind drivers of the prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as of the liability in case of detection of such violations. For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, the administrative penalty depends on the concentration of alcohol in the blood or its vapors in exhaled air: from 0.3 to 0.8 per mille – 100 base units with deprivation of the right to drive for 3 years; over 0.8 per mille – 200 base units with deprivation of the right to drive for 5 years.
The State Automobile Inspectorate once again appeals to all road users with a request not to remain indifferent to the problem of drunk driving, to promptly report intoxicated drivers and pedestrians to the "102" hotline in order to ensure the safety of themselves and their loved ones.
