Br18 million will be allocated for the preparation of Braslav for the regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2019". This was announced today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by the Chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee, Alexander Bodanin, during the discussion of the preparation of the district center for "Dazhynki", as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"2019 is a unique year for all residents of Braslav, as we have been given the opportunity to renovate it, enhance the district's tourism potential, and strengthen the position of the agricultural sector. All organizations in the district have joined the efforts to improve the supervised territories, as well as modernization and major repairs," emphasized Alexander Bodanin.
The list of preparations includes about a hundred facilities. One of the main ones is the embankment of Drivyaty Lake along the R3 road, which is intended to become the city's main tourist attraction. Sidewalks, catering facilities, recreation areas, floating piers and fountains, and a skate park will be arranged here. The investment in this project will amount to Br2.5 million. A new kindergarten is scheduled to be commissioned in mid-summer, and Secondary School No. 2 in August. Repairs of healthcare, trade, consumer cooperation, communication, housing stock, and courtyard areas are in progress.
Among the major sports facilities, Alexander Bodanin noted the renovation of the stadium of the "Drivyaty" district physical culture and sports club. Public transport stops will be transformed and city wells will be designed in a unified style for the holiday. Special sites for mobile shops will be equipped in the villages. The "Lesnichevka" forest park, where the main events of the holiday will take place, has already been landscaped.
Work on the main facilities is planned to be completed by September 1st.
