10 September /Elena Prus - BELTA/. Br265 billion has been spent on the preparation of facilities for the "Dazhynki-2010" festival-fair in Lida. This was reported today by the Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Moskvichev, to the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergei Sidorsky, who is visiting Lida, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. The preparation plan includes the implementation of 220 measures for the construction, repair and modernization of buildings, structures, utility networks, streets and roads, as well as landscaping and greening of the territory. According to Yuri Moskvichev, work was carried out at all 220 sites, involving 5,000 people. 66 construction organizations were involved in the work. During the city's preparation for "Dazhynki," a number of social, cultural, sports, and historical and cultural facilities were built and reconstructed. 29 streets were reconstructed in accordance with modern requirements, 280,000 square meters of asphalt concrete pavement were laid, and water supply networks were replaced and modernized. The facades of 123 residential buildings were modernized and repaired. In August, a 110-apartment residential building was commissioned for resettlement from demolished housing. The Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee stated that hotels, a cinema, a lyceum, and other facilities have been put in order. Br16 billion alone was spent on the reconstruction of healthcare facilities. Yuri Moskvichev named the Ice Palace as one of the most significant facilities. Approximately Br38.5 billion was spent on its construction. It features a 60x31 m ice hockey rink, four changing rooms for hockey players, a stand for 1,000 spectators, fitness and game rooms, and saunas.
