1 June, Minsk /BELTA/. Under the State Programme of Innovative Development for 2011-2015, Belarus will implement 235 innovative projects. This was announced today to journalists by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent. The total cost of implementing innovative projects included in the list of the most important projects for the creation of new enterprises and production facilities, which are of decisive importance for the innovative development of Belarus, amounts to Br57.4 trillion, including funds from the republican and local budgets, own funds of organizations, loans from Belarusian banks, borrowed funds of organizations, and foreign investments, which will be specified during the development of the implementation plan. At the same time, Mikhail Myasnikovich emphasized that budget financing accounts for about 15-17%. The calculation is mainly based on direct foreign investment and credit resources. "We must frankly say that we struggled with this program for a very long time. We would like it to be truly a program of innovative development, and not just the technical re-equipment of a number of enterprises, which we sometimes pass off as innovation," said Mikhail Myasnikovich. According to him, during the preparation of the document, there were quite lively discussions about what should actually be included in the program. "And we decided that it could include both fundamentally new projects in the world and projects that are new for the country," said the Prime Minister. "All projects have been preliminarily worked out. They cover the entire spectrum of our economy. First of all, attention is paid to complex projects, for example, in the pharmaceutical industry, microbiology, and microelectronics. But we have not forgotten our traditional sectors in this regard - mechanical engineering, metallurgical production, and subsoil resources. This does not mean that only traditional approaches and technologies of the fourth or even third technological order are used there. Today, the fifth and sixth technological orders should also be present in mechanical engineering, in order to minimize human physical labor and improve labor productivity and quality through systematic automation," emphasized the head of the Belarusian government. "The program is not simple. It is quite demanding, but interesting for investors, because the claim is made at the global level. Through this, we think we will increase the attractiveness of the national economy as a whole," added Mikhail Myasnikovich.
