Over the first 8 months of this year, the State Property Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee announced 672 auctions for the sale of unused state property. Additionally, share packages of two enterprises – "Vitebsk City Automobile Transport and Forwarding Company" and "Eton Plant" – were offered for sale.
80 auctions were successful. This not only enabled the utilization of unused real estate for regional development but also replenished the state budget by 2.221 million rubles, which is more than three times the amount from last year.
The most expensive property sold by the committee in August was the treatment facility of the dermatovenerological dispensary located on Maxim Gorky Street in Vitebsk. It was acquired by an individual entrepreneur from Minsk for 103 thousand rubles. Following reconstruction, it is possible to establish a public facility here.
For September, the committee has scheduled 60 auctions for the sale of unused state property. Of these, 30 properties are offered for sale at auction for the base rate.
The majority of the properties offered for sale are former schools, kindergartens, shops, and post offices.
Among the new properties in the Vitebsk region that may be of interest to buyers, the former post office in the agro-town of Olgovo will be put up for sale in September. In the future, the new owner could open a retail outlet here, use it as an administrative building, or convert the former post office into a single-family dwelling.»
