The Supervisory Commission at the District Executive Committee is established to assist in the employment and social integration of individuals who have already served their sentences for offenses or are still subject to accountability not directly related to deprivation of liberty.
The recent open meeting addressed the issue of resocialisation of individuals returning from places of deprivation of liberty.
Sergey Martinovich, Chairman of the District Trade Union Committee of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers, spoke about employment opportunities at the district's agro-industrial complex enterprises and the creation of appropriate living conditions for such citizens in rural areas.
Valentina Menkova, chief specialist of the employment department of the Department of Labour, Employment and Social Protection, provided specific examples of work with this category of the population.
Alesya Kulak, a social work specialist at the territorial centre for social services to the population, informed about assistance to individuals returning from places of deprivation of liberty.
Zoya Kurso, a narcologist at the healthcare institution "Lepel Central Regional Hospital", presented the practice of medical examinations for individuals with past offenses, and the provision of services for addiction treatment and rehabilitation for alcoholism.
Following this, individual consultations were held with citizens invited to the meeting. It turned out that one of them is already working in his specialty at PMK-75, but the others still need concrete assistance. In particular, a decision was made to refer two individuals for employment at KUP "Borovka". Vacancies are also available for such individuals in the agricultural production sector. And when one of the invited individuals reported that he had not yet acquired a proper, stable profession, he was referred for retraining. The issue of housing and social integration for Alexander Miloev, who has embarked on the path of correction, also needs to be resolved. Moreover, Sergey Martinovich, Chairman of the District Trade Union Committee of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers, has undertaken to assist this person and will report on the results at the next commission meeting.
